SD cards compatibility.
I recently bought a Nikon d3100 dslr camera that uses sd cards. I needed to know which sd cards I needed because this camera does video as well as stills. I thought this info would be helpful to my readers because not all card reading devices would work and I'm glad to know that before I upgrade any cards or readers because of a sale price! I also looked in my camera manual and learned I can use all three types. I went to Nikon on line to get this factory manual. Learning should never stop!
I found this great information online about sd cards at https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/compatibility/
Understanding Backwards Compatibility
· SDXC memory cards must only be used with SDXC devices.
· SDXC devices can use SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards and SDXC memory cards.
· SDHC memory cards can be used with SDHC memory cards and SDXC devices.
· SDHC devices can use both SD memory cards and SDHC memory cards.
· SD devices can only use SD memory cards.

Ahoy there Hoya Flower!
I'm so glad it's Spring! This Hoya plant put out a gorgeous ball of little blooms. I of course with my new closeup lens had to try to capture the pretty little bouquet for all to see. My roses have bloomed all winter and the hibiscus as well have contributed to our tropical paradise here at Laguna Shore Village RV park!
Check out the pictures of the rare sighting of a pair of flamingos a few days ago. The wax plant or porcelain flower, Hoya carnosa, is an attractive ornamental plant, native to Eastern Asia and Australia.

The Hoya’s unique appearance and heavily fragrant blossoms make it a popular indoor plant.
The flowers are semi-glossy with a fuzzy sheen due to tiny hairs on their surface, and are borne in clusters of up to 30 flowers. Each individual flower is about 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) in diameter.
The plant is a climber and is easily propagated from cuttings.

Bird Flirt
Were they fighting or flirting? I don't know but they sure were putting on a show! Roseatte Spoonbills are so pretty! These were along Laguna Shores Road here in the Flour Bluff area of Corpus Christi, TX. I had a good time watching them and all the assorted shore birds we have here. We get lots of bird watchers at our Laguna Shore Village RV Park!

Flaming Flamingos
Flamingos are extremely rare in South Texas! My husband Laurence saw a couple close to his favorite fishing spot in the Laguna Madre. He wont give me more information than that! Says I would blab to my friends! Hard to believe a man I've been married to for 38 years would feel that way! Oh well! Here's the pics he took with his pocket camera!

Shrimp Fun!
Today my hubby Laurence and his long time friend, Bill Malone went to the CPL Fish and Shrimp Hatchery for their annual shrimp sell off! The men got some beautiful Pacific shrimp! These shrimp are a fast growing variety! Kept separate from the native shrimp they grow well in the controlled environment! We bought some of last years crop and they were great. Now comes the fun part! The heads need to be pinched off!

Hummingbirds

It’s been a long time since I signed in here. It has been very very hot and dry this summer in Corpus Christi, Texas. Right now the hummingbirds are thick! We have three Texas shaped feeders at the Laguna Shore Village RV Park! I love seeing the pretty little jets! They are very territorial. My parents have three feeders too! A bird owns one of their feeders we call fat boy! Actually it’s probably a female since it’s plain. I don’t like the sound of fat girl since I’m not too slim. Anyway back to fat boy that little bird wont let any others light on the feeder it considers its own. These photos are from my parent's front porch. I didn’t include fat boys feeder because it was less fun with only one bird!
