Dawn of a Beautiful Day

This morning 6:30 am was a beautiful photo opportunity! People say I'm a great photographer but all the glory should go to Jehovah, the creator of the beautiful earth we live on and the way it looks to us and makes us feel to be alive! Corpus Christi is a pretty place to live! I captured this looking from Laguna Shores Road toward the north east over the John F. Kennedy causeway. I have an Olympus E520 with a zoom lens. I used manual focus and 100 asa. See you later.

Fine dining at Lunch!

We went to Sugarbakers for lunch today! It was a very nice dining experience. All over one wall of the building was every theme and color of cake you can imagine and some I never would have. They make and sell them there! The lunch was very well prepared. I had a chicken pot pie and a beautiful green salad! I liked the variety of green and red lettuce and spinach leaves too. There was a cup of chicken vegetable soup that was tastefully seasoned. Our server Kim was flitting around like a hummingbird in a flower garden. I really look forward to going back! They are located at 2766 Santa Fe Street, Corpus Christi,TX 78404,. Call 361-884-9541 if you want a beautiful cake designed for your special occasion. They had good cookies and cake for visitors too (don't ask me how I know). It was busy so go early!

Fishing For Redfish

Laurence is a person who would rather fish! He and his buddies are very good at sight fishing for Redfish! Sometimes they bring in a black drum or two! He likes to use lures on bright days!

Spring flowers

Today in Corpus Christi the sun is shining brightly and the flowers are coming to life! On the left is an Aloe Vera in bloom and the right is a Marigold with buds galore!

Botanical Gardens

I went to the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center Saturday. The roses were blooming like fire works! We, Mom and Dad and I, were yelling at each other oh wow look at this one and this one too!

jewelry Making!

I really enjoyed making this necklace of baby blue shades! It has glass tiger eye beads and wire wrapped beads and a toggle closure that makes it so easy to fasten! The focal point is a metal butterfly with several blue colors on it!
